About Knives
Cathy (a.k.a. Knives) is the Lower School Educational Technology Specialist at Trevor Day School. She has ten years of K-12 teaching experience, specializing in technology integration utilizing Web 2.0 tools and project-based learning. Working closely with classroom teachers to enhance the curriculum with technology, she continually seeks innovative tools, and designs projects that increase student engagement and understanding. She has led professional development on Google Apps for Education, BYOD, digital citizenship, flipped learning, classroom management, Chromebooks, and Google Classroom. Her goal is for educators to discover and imagine what’s possible when technology is thoughtfully integrated in their classrooms, leaving them empowered to use tools that allow their students to creatively and authentically express themselves.
